Origin / Cultivation
Mint is one of the most well-known medicinal plants. Archaeologists found mint leaves in the tombs of Egyptians. It is known to have been used by Greeks and Romans to relieve pain and purge the unwell. Since then it has been used intensively, often to improve flavours and provide a fresh effect. It is sown in spring and harvested in summer. It is found in Europe, Asia and North America.
