Origin / Cultivation

Dating back to prehistoric times, the first wild apples appeared in the region of Kazakhstan (central Asia) and these original apples gave rise to all the apple varieties known today. This fruit tree belongs to the Rosaceae family and is now cultivated in Europe, Asia and North America. There are over 20,000 species.
